The Art of Healing Emotions There doesn't have to be a painful disconnect between you and your loved one, or from yourself. Drugs and addiction may have their way, yes they're powerful, and there are certain realities that come along with them. And, you have power too when you're clear. Then you can approach situations in a much more effective way. Let's find ways to pick yourself up off the floor when the intensity of emotions may bring you down. Those emotions are real. They're part of the grief process. But, it's important to take yourself off the roller coaster of insanity, and give yourself the gift of another way to move through their addiction. The Work and my way of coaching can show a way to claim your own life, and hold onto love, for you and for them, while learning new ways to approach life and your loved one. I understand. There are fears that they don't or won't know you love them, they'll die, they won't be happy, you failed, you caused this, you're alone in this. So much. But, some of the things you believe or imagine may not be the whole truth, and I want to support you to realize something different than suffering with these beliefs as the only reality. When you align with the love in your own heart, and the love that your beloved embodies (even though they're under the shadows of addiction), you are better able to navigate the inherent challenges to loving someone who is addicted. I invite you to get some clarity, get some education and access resources to continue to love them, to help them without enabling their continued suffering, to communicate clearly, AND to live your life, even love more of it. You can be the example of healing, and in this way, it changes you, and may help them too.
