A few weeks ago, during my workshop Exhausted to Empowered, one mama (who experiences frequent, overwhelming fear because her son is usually missing and struggles with addiction) really heard the message. And since she's applying big parts of a simple message, she's finding great relief.
The WHAT:
What is fear? It's worry, guilt, resentment, impatience, anger, all those emotions that are tough to feel, and we often feel them. On the energy frequency scale, these emotions cause our inner energy to be very low. It's really hard to show up calm, clear, and connected when what we're in these lower energy frequencies.
Thankfully, there's plenty we can do to shift into higher energies like acceptance, love, joy, and peace.
The HOW:
Here's a few steps on the peace path to relieve your fear:
1. Notice your fear, let it be the reminder to take care of it.
2. Ask one question: Is what I'm thinking and believing absolutely true?
Really consider the word "absolutely". Make it a yes or no answer and if "no", contemplate the examples of your "no", well actually no that thought and fear are not true.
3. Notice if you're in your imagination, scaring the hell out of yourself and putting your child into your imagined nightmare OR if you're noticing just the facts of now, not the past, and not the future.
4. Allow that to shift your mind and energy. With an open mind, and an open heart, it often and pretty reliably can and will.
The WHY:
It's a powerful and effective start to interrupting the mind from going down the rabbit hole, to stop you from going down the rabbit hole.
It's a powerful and effective way to shift your mind, shift your energy, and shift the way you show up, especially when it really impacts the people around you.
Fear .... it's nothing to be scared of ... when you know how to use it to serve your inner peace.
Often times, fear is of our making. We're creating it as we attach to our thoughts and stories. And we can create a path out of fear and into peace.
